Spectra (tryspectra.io) is a marketing-intelligence product. This page says what we collect, why, who else handles it, and how to have it deleted.
What we collect
- Your account. The email address you sign in with.
- What you ask the assistant. Questions you ask Ask Spectra are kept so we can run and support the service. Your workspace's Owner can ask Spectra for its question log at any time.
- Saved work. Dashboards, reports, goals, alerts, views, your AI Marketer chats, and the changes you approve.
- Connected ad accounts. When you connect Meta, we read your campaigns, ad sets, ads, budgets and their status, and keep a record of every change you approve through Spectra. We store the access Meta grants us on our servers, never in your browser.
- Visits to this website. Our public pages (tryspectra.io, not the app you sign in to) use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. Google sets its own cookies to do it. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are counted without analytics cookies.
- Where a request came from. When you ask for access or book a demo, we keep, with your request, how you first reached our website: the campaign tags in the link you followed (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content and utm_term), the name of the site that sent you (its domain only, never the page), and the first page of ours you opened. A cookie of our own, “spectra-src”, carries this between our pages for up to 30 days. It is read only by us and sent to nobody.
How we use it
Only to run Spectra for you: to show your figures, answer your questions, and make the changes you approve. Spectra never changes anything in your ad accounts without a person approving it first. We do not sell your data or use it to advertise to you.
Who else handles it
- Anthropic — provider of the AI model that reads your questions and writes answers.
- Meta — when you connect an ad account, requests go to Meta's Marketing API on your behalf.
- Google — Google Analytics counts visits to our public website. When you connect Google Analytics or Google Search Console, requests go to Google's Analytics and Search Console APIs on your behalf, with the read-only access you approved.
- Supabase and Render — where our database and servers run.
Google Analytics
When you connect Google Analytics, we read reports from the properties you choose: visits, key events, transactions and revenue, by traffic source and page. We use them only to show you how AI assistants send people to your site, and how that compares with visits from Google search. We keep a daily summary: the AI-sourced visits with their key events, transactions and revenue (by day, AI source and landing page), visits and key events from Google organic and paid search (by day and landing page), and your site's total visits and key events per day (counts only), with no information about individual visitors, so your history stays available and we can show what share of your traffic comes from AI. Disconnecting deletes the access Google gave us and asks Google to revoke it; the summary already kept stays with your workspace and is deleted with it. We store the access Google grants us on our servers, encrypted, and you can disconnect at any time in Settings or in your Google Account. When you ask Spectra's assistant about this data, the figures are sent to Anthropic to write the answer.
Google Search Console
When you connect Google Search Console, Google asks you to give Spectra read-only access to your Search Console data, and you choose one site you have verified there. For that site we read the search terms people typed into Google before your site appeared, the pages that appeared, and, for each day, how many times they were shown (impressions), how many times they were clicked, and their average position in Google's results; we also read the site's daily totals, split by country and by device. We read up to the last 16 months the first time, then the new days every few hours. We never change anything in Search Console.
We use it only to show you how people find your site in Google search — on the Search page, your dashboards, monitors and alerts — to file your search terms under the topics your workspace has set up, and to offer your real search terms as prompts to track. To suggest a topic for a search term, the term, your topic names and a description of your brand are sent to Anthropic's AI model. A copy of those daily figures is kept in our database, so your history stays available.
When you disconnect Search Console in Settings, the access Google gave us is deleted from our servers and we ask Google to revoke it; you can also remove Spectra's access in your Google Account at any time. The figures already copied stay with your workspace until you delete it or ask us to delete them (see Data deletion); deleting the workspace deletes them.
How we treat Google data
Google Analytics and Search Console data is used only to show it back to you and the people on your workspace, in the features described above. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers listed under “Who else handles it”, which process it for us. We do not use it to train AI models, and Anthropic's commercial terms do not allow it to train models on what we send.
Spectra's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Keeping and deleting it
We keep your data while your account exists. Deleting a chat deletes it. Deleting your account deletes everything it holds. To ask for deletion, see Data deletion. You can disconnect Spectra from Meta at any time in Meta Business Settings → Integrations → Connected apps.
